Main Page - to remember

This area of the blog is set up to remember friends and others. With application and serendipity, a long life holds many friends. Yet none of us will remain at the end. So some celebration of the lives of those I will miss, seems - in all fairness - to be necessary.

When the sun returns

When the sun returns
we'll laugh and sing
When the Spring evolves
we'll cheer with joy

Until then my friend
we'll struggle on
smiling - when we can
in rays of hope
bringing forth our strength
infused with life
placing block on block
in steady trust
until sun returns

Limited improvement

There are limits on friendship
Mental and physical limits
Limits of time and space and limits of will

Yet limits pre-set will vary
from basal to infinite caring
through limitless time and space
and force of will

Good friends
Good friends don't leave you
any more than those you hate
back to the ether
after they are dead

Good friends continue
leavened by black fate
Like those you hated
they live in your head

Friends
Friends are the people
who understand untold

your shards of desolation
and who let you help with theirs

Friendship
It balances to cancel down
the worst excesses life can own
and ventures into vagaries of hope

It polishes each careful thought
and dries the tears which loss has wrought

This friendship shows a way to cope
to laugh in joy at sad mistake
and comfort when the heart would break
